12/4/2018 0 Comments KING MENKAUREMenkaure was an Egyptian pharaoh of the 4th dynasty. He was between the ages of 18 and 22 when he reigned. The statue is 103.4 meters by 65.5 meters. He helped build some of the most famous pyramids in Egypt. This picture will correlate to the rest of the exhibition because it is a portrait of a king and portraits really tell the story of the time it was from. This one has the king and his wife by his side. Not much has changed with that considering that is what we all long for in this life. It has a nice smooth finish which makes it seem as though they have taken a lot of time on this. I believe this will all compare to one another because they are portraits from history that meant a lot to the people of that time.
