12/4/2018 0 Comments HATSHEPUTThis lady was the second recorded female pharaoh in sometime around 1507 BC. It is said that she actually used her bloodline to get to be a higher power. She really embraced being a leader and did very well for herself throughout her reign. And that is why she is in this exhibition. The way her portrait turned out is amazing. Even though it was probably perfect when it was first made, the piece we have now is somewhat broken and damaged on the outside. That is how it compares to the other pieces, by having a smooth finish but still being broken and unique. She was of a higher power like some of the other artworks and she was admired by many. She made an impact on the culture she reigned in. People get portraits made of them when they are that amazing and she was nothing less of that.
